“LOP Rahul Gandhi ji and Priyanka Gandhi ji led our group to Sambhal, but they were halted at the UP border at Ghaziabad. Why did the UP government forbid the Lok Sabha LOP from paying visits to the relatives of those killed in the violence? Supporting someone who has experienced such loss and pain is fundamental to mankind. ‘Nafrat ke bazaar mein mohabbat ki dukaan’ has been Rahul ji’s mantra.

And it is our responsibility as the opposition to convey empathy, love, and compassion when the governing administration has fostered an environment of hate.” On X, Venugopal posted.

“We are determined to meet the victims’ families in the interest of peace and communal harmony in our country, the UP government must allow the delegation to visit Sambhal,” he said.

Congress leaders were seen sitting on the road near the border with Ghazipur in the meanwhile.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, two Congress leaders their route to Sambhal, which is rife with violence, have been halted at the Delhi-Meerut Expressway’s Ghazipur border.

As the Congress leaders’ convoy arrived at the border, barricades were erected across the route, halting traffic.

As Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra go to violence-torn Sambhal, border security has been increased. This has caused a severe traffic jam at the Delhi-Meerut Expressway’s Ghazipur border.

On November 24, as the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was inspecting a mosque from the Mughal period, violence broke out in the Sambhal area. Four people were killed and other police officers and residents were injured in the skirmishes.

Following a petition in a local court asserting that the mosque’s location was formerly a Harihar temple, the ASI assessment was conducted.
