Congress leader Pawan Khera reacted on CAG report and Ayushman Bharat scheme

New Delhi: Congressman Pawan Khera reacted to the Ayushman Bharat plan and the CAG findings on Friday. “The difference between the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports tabled during our (Congress) government and the current government should also be seen,” Congress leader Pawan Khera told the media report. The CAG report needs to be presented in Parliament as well, not only in states where the BJP finds it convenient.

He went on to say that nothing has changed significantly since the Ayushman Bharat initiative was introduced; things are still the same. He said that the Chiranjeevi scheme, which was implemented in the state by former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was superior.

Notably, the CAG audit showed that the Delhi government’s excise policy had inconsistencies that resulted in a substantial revenue loss of Rs 2,026 crore. According to the report’s conclusions, there were infractions in the granting of licenses that were not punished, a lack of transparency in pricing, and departures from the policy’s goals.

According to the study, the government failed to re-tender the surrendered licenses before the policy period ended, resulting in losses to the state exchequer of Rs 890 crore out of a total of Rs 2,026 crore.

Furthermore, Rs 941 crore was lost as a result of the zone licensing exemptions. Rekha Gupta, the new chief minister of Delhi, said that the CAG findings will be tabulated; the AAP administration had not done so.

“We reviewed and approved two agenda items at the first Cabinet meeting: implementing the Ayushman Bharat plan in Delhi with a Rs 5 lakh top-up and tabling 14 CAG findings in the Assembly’s first sitting. We will fulfill every promise we have given the public. Gupta Rekha said.

Vijender Gupta, an MLA for the Bharatiya Janata Party and the BJP’s candidate for Speaker of the Delhi Assembly, said Friday that the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) report would be presented during the Legislative Assembly’s three-day session on February 25.
