Congress leader Pawan Khera attacked BJP and said, “Will not stop raising Adani issue”
New Delhi: Congressman Pawan Khera has attacked the governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the opposition has nothing to conceal and would continue to bring up the Gautam Adani indictment issue.
He said that the BJP had “everything to hide” and was hence avoiding discussing the Adani problem.
Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned on Monday, with the opposition members claiming that the Treasury benches do not want the House to continue operating and the BJP intensifying its assault on the Congress over suspected ties to George Soros. Discussions on the Adani issue have also been demanded by the opposition.
The Congress leader also inquired about the “relationship” between the Aspen Institute in Washington and Dhruv Shankar, the son of Union Minister S. Jaishankar.
The Bharatiya Janata Party believes that we may be duped by George Soros’s name. It’s absurd. We want to let them know that because we have nothing to conceal, we will continue to bring up the Gautam Adani (indictment) issue. However, the BJP has everything to conceal. You should respond with the source of the scholarships received by the children of BJP leaders and ministers studying overseas if you want to bring up George Soros.
You could also let us know how many BJP officials’ kids are employed by Soros-funded organizations. Describe the relationship between the Aspen Institute and Dhruv Jaishankar, the son of S. Jaishankar. What connection does he have to the German Marshall Fund? What connection does George Soros have to these two groups? In a self-produced video released on Monday, Khera said, “We will conclude this conversation that you initiated.”
This comes after BJP leader Tarun Chugh said on Monday that Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, two Congress heavyweights, had ties to the George Soros Foundation and that the party was turning into a vehicle for those attempting to sow discord in the nation.
In a statement, BJP national secretary Chugh said that Sonia Gandhi “is linked to an organization financed by the George Soros Foundation as the co-president of the Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation.”
The FDL-AP Foundation “has expressed views to treat Kashmir as a separate entity,” he said.He said that the “anti-national credentials” of the Gandhi family and the “nefarious designs” of the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir will be exposed by the BJP.
No effort will be successful to “subvert” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a global leader, according to Chugh, who is in charge of Jammu and Kashmir. In the past, the BJP has said that the Congress was working with groups that want to impede India’s development.
