Congress leader Alka Lamba questions Arvind Kejriwal over the amount spent on ‘Sheesh Mahal’
During the ‘Sheesh Mahal’, Congress leader Alka Lamba questioned the amount spent on Arvind Kejriwal on Monday.
According to the CAG assessment, the CM’s house is transitory. To what degree is it reasonable to spend Rs 33 crore of public funds on it? Inflation, water supply, and air pollution treatment all required that money. She suggested that Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi have a news conference to address all of these issues.
Kejriwal was accused by the Congress candidate from Kalkaji, who will run against Chief Minister Atishi, of exploiting public funds to construct his home.
“The people of Delhi are receiving promises from those who lack their own and who are referring to their chief minister as a transitory leader. According to the CAG report, only the CM home, which Arvind Kejriwal spent 33 crore rupees on, may be temporary. This is affecting Delhi, and I have taken it upon me to safeguard its citizens. The people of Kalkaji Assembly are embracing and supporting me wholeheartedly as I run for office.
The average people owned the money that Arvind Kejriwal used to build his home, and they are now dealing with unemployment and price increases. People have an anti-incumbency sentiment. We have introduced the ‘Pyari Didi’ program, which will deposit Rs. 2,500 into women’s accounts on the first of each month,” she said.
Abhishek Dutt, the Congress candidate for the Kasturba Nagar Assembly seat, discussed the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ scandal earlier today, calling it the “house of corruption.” “The corruption’s home is the Sheesh Mahal. There will be a probe into this Sheesh Mahal after Kejriwal is charged. It’s evidence of a massive swindle and the property has to be shut,” he said.
It is anticipated that Delhi’s assembly elections will take place in February 2025.The Congress party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not won any seats in the last two assembly elections.
In the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP won eight seats while the AAP won 62 of the 70 seats.
