CM Yogi pays tributes to “Sahibzadas” at CM’s residence and praises their determination to protect religion and country

At the Veer Bal Diwas ceremony, which was conducted at the CM’s home on Thursday to honor Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh’s sacrifices, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted visitors and attendance. Adityanath commended their resolve to defend religion and the nation and emphasized their sacrifice as an important chapter in the country’s history.

Adityanath recounted the Sahibzadas’ martyrdom while speaking at the chief minister’s home, highlighting the instance in which Wazir Khan bricked them alive. He emphasized that their sacrifice acts as a model for generations to come. The chief minister said that in recognition of their services, the Uttar Pradesh government is planning celebrations in every district.

Additionally, CM Adityanath emphasized the sacrifices made by Sikh gurus such as Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and Guru Arjun Dev Ji. The sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, he said, was a major factor in Kashmir’s historical importance to India. He also considered how the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji were so young—just 7 and 9 years old when they were martyred—which is evidence of their exceptional fortitude.

Concerned about the declining number of Sikhs in Kabul, CM Adityanath said, “At this time, there are just two to four families remaining in Kabul. Our hearts ache when we hear about Pakistan and Bangladesh. Whether we are Sikhs or Hindus, our shared goals will give us fresh motivation to push ahead. With this motivation, we will be able to steer clear of Bangladesh and Kabul and gain the fortitude to recognize our allies and foes.”

In the past, Sikhs would join the Indian army and guard the border. Who are the people attempting to influence our young people to use drugs? “We must determine who our adversaries are,” Adityanath said.

In his remarks, Adityanath also emphasized Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji’s accomplishments, which still serve as an inspiration to us today, such as his donation of gold to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

“I express my appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for celebrating Veer Bal Diwas,” he said, stressing that the people and the double-engine government are one. He also praised the four Sahibzadas for their ultimate sacrifice, demonstrating unmatched courage.

Adityanath said that “Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s efforts to abolish caste discrimination reminded the audience of the inclusivity of the langar, where all sit together as equals.”
