“The bridge’s foundation stone was set by the prime minister. Next July, this project will be finished. Nearly all of the work is finished. The Prime Minister will be invited once again to officially open the bridge. We are thrilled that this project is now complete,” Sarma said.

The Assam chief minister also paid a visit to the Deopahar archaeological site in Numaligarh, Golaghat district, earlier on Wednesday. He gave the district commissioner instructions to draft a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the site’s proper preservation and improvement.

The ruins of a stone temple at this location are noteworthy because they are thought to have been built during the tenth and eleventh century AD.

In Assam, Devparvat is a reminder of our old Sanatan civilization and a testament to the craftsmanship of our forefathers. The Ramayana and Mahadev’s Shivalinga are beautifully carved at this 11th-century archeological site. The Assam chief minister wrote on X, “Spent some time here.”

Highlighting the site’s significant spiritual and artistic significance, the Assam Chief Minister reiterated that the state government will take the required actions to ensure its preservation and further growth.

Beautifully carved stone sculptures depicting myths surround the site, and the temple’s remnants serve as a reminder of the area’s rich architectural history.

These artifacts highlight the period’s spiritual and cultural ethos in addition to displaying a high level of creative mastery.

Deopahar’s surroundings, which are surrounded by lush hills and woods, continue to draw tourists because of its historical importance and natural beauty.
