CM Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed grants and relief to eligible beneficiaries under these schemes in Golaghat district

On Saturday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave out aid and awards to qualified recipients in the Golaghat district under a number of programs.

“Today, we distributed ‘No Dues Certificates’ to over 5000 women in the Golaghat district who took out microloans but were unable to repay the loan amount,” CM Himanta told reporters. More than 2000 households received flood assistance grants from us, and 200 women received seed money totaling Rs 40,000. Ajanta Neog, the State Finance Minister, was there when Atul Bora, the Assam Agriculture Minister, gave the students in Golaghat bicycles, scooters, and the Anundoram Barooah award a few days ago.

Additionally, he claimed that several households in the Golaghat area have benefitted from the “12 days of Development” campaign.

“Those who do not currently have ration cards will get them on December 15. The Assam Chief Minister said, “We will take the initiative to choose the recipients of the Orunodoi scheme between December 15 and December 28.”

In order to promote development and advancement in the Jorhat district, Assam Chief Minister Himanta earlier set the groundwork for the Jorhat town water supply system and started a number of revolutionary projects.

Addressing the “long-standing issue faced by the people of Jorhat,” CM Sarma made it possible for the populace to have access to clean drinking water.

“The Drink from Tap (DFT) project will involve a financial outlay of Rs. 220 crore which will ensure clean and uninterrupted 24X7 water supply by leveraging advanced technology and modern infrastructure,” according to a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office.

These programs highlight the Assam government’s dedication to the state’s general development and the welfare of its citizens. They cut across a number of areas, including education, industries and commerce and public enterprises, revenue and disaster management, and finance.
