According to Wagh, the president of the Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha, Archana Rothe was assaulted by unidentified criminals who wanted to murder her. She said that such occurrences would not be accepted and that such individuals would get a “befitting” response.

“Our candidate and MLA Pratap Adsad’s sister, Archana Rothe, was the victim of a very terrible assault. She was accosted by several unidentified criminals who intended to murder her. Such acts will never be tolerated by us. We will respond appropriately to such individuals,” Wagh said.

“How did the Congress candidate know about the incident when no BJP worker was aware of the same,” the leader of the BJP inquired.

“Neither our candidate nor his sister made a comment after this occurrence. The BJP employees were unaware of this. However, Virendra Jagtap, a Congress candidate, said that it was a ploy in a Facebook post that he later removed. I learned of this from the employees. I would want to know how the Congress candidate found out if no BJP employee knew about this. This clarifies how and by whom it occurred. Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is engaging in this kind of hooliganism as a result of their failure, but we will not tolerate this at all,” Wagh said.

Anil Deshmukh, a former minister of the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), was injured earlier Monday night after his car was allegedly attacked with stones on Katol Jalalkheda Road in the Katol Assembly Constituency. On Tuesday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticized Maharashtra’s Home Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, for the state’s deteriorating law and order situation after the attack on Deshmukh.

Raut told reporters, “Maharashtra’s law and order situation has totally disintegrated. Such election-related violence has never occurred in this state. The Home Minister at the moment is Devendra Fadnavis. In his city, there was a plot to kill the state’s previous home minister. Who is in charge of this? The Election Commission is in charge of this first and foremost.
