Chirag Paswan informed the reporters that the Congress did not think it was essential to award Baba Saheb with the Bharat Ratna.

This followed Amit Shah’s tirade against the Congress party, claiming that adopting Ambedkar’s name had become “fashionable.”
“If they had taken the name of God so many times instead of Ambedkar then they would have got heaven for seven lives,” Shah said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended Amit Shah’s comments against Babasaheb Ambedkar earlier in the day on Wednesday, claiming that Shah revealed the Congress’s shady past of disparaging Ambedkar and that the facts he gave left them surprised and wounded.
PM Modi said in a series of tweets on X that despite Congress’ years in power, nothing was done to strengthen the communities of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
