Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed the enthusiasm of the people to witness the inauguration of the 38th National Games by the Prime Minister
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the people are thrilled to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurate the 38th National Games during his visit to Uttarakhand on Tuesday.
CM Dhami wrote on X about the PM’s visit, stating that the PM has a “special attachment towards Devbhoomi.”

“No one is unaware of your unique bond with Devbhoomi, and everyone there loves you unconditionally. “Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will host the 38th National Games under your capable leadership,” CM Dhami said in his tweet.
The PM highlighted the upcoming trip to Odisha and Uttarakhand in a tweet that the CM was responding to.
The 38th National Games will be opened in Dehradun by Prime Minister Modi. From January 28 to February 14, 11 cities in 8 districts in Uttarakhand will hold the National Games. The game’s theme this year is “Green Games.”
“The National Games will be held in 36 states and one union territory. There will be tournaments for 35 sporting disciplines over the course of 17 days. Of these, 33 sports will get medals, while two will be exhibition sports. For the first time, yoga and mallakhamb are part of the National Games. The tournament will include over 10,000 athletes from all throughout the nation,” the PMO’s statement said.
Near the site, a unique park called the “Sports Forest” is being created, where 10,000 seedlings will be planted by different sportsmen and visitors.
The Prime Minister of Odisha is scheduled to attend the ‘Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave’ and kick off the 38th National Games in Dehradun the same day.
The goal of the state government’s premier global investment summit, “Utkarsh Odisha,” is to establish the state as the cornerstone of the Purvodaya vision and as India’s top industrial powerhouse and investment destination.
Additionally, the prime minister will open the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which showcases the state’s accomplishments in creating a thriving industrial environment. The conclave is scheduled on January 28–29.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that the conclave would also provide a forum for policymakers and other business executives.
“It will provide a forum for business executives, financiers, and legislators to meet and talk about the advantages Odisha provides as a top investment location. According to the PMO’s statement, the conclave will include CEOs and Leaders’ Roundtables, sectoral sessions, B2B meetings, and policy discussions, guaranteeing focused interaction with investors worldwide.
