Chief Minister Omar Abdullah participated in Medicon-25 medical conference held in Jammu
Jammu: Omar Abdullah, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said that the state’s task was to make healthcare more accessible while attending the Medicon-25 medical conference in Jammu on Friday. Speaking at a conference, the CM said that the lack of quality healthcare in the outlying districts was the cause of the influx of people into the city.

“Medicon will explore a variety of topics that are the subject of many debates and conversations. Making healthcare more accessible is our task. Speaking during the conference, the CM said, “Everyone moves into cities because the health care in our outlying areas is not up to the level that we demand.”
He said that adding and improving infrastructure in Jammu’s outlying districts was the best way to address the issue.
Additionally, he said that district-level Government Medical Colleges (GMC) had been established.
“We cannot alleviate this demand by enhancing or expanding Jammu’s infrastructure. By expanding and enhancing our infrastructure in the outlying regions,” he said.
“GMC Srinagar and GMC Jammu were our only options at one point. District-level GMCs are already in place. “We need to increase and enhance those GMCs’ emergency handling capacity and capability,” he said.
Additionally, he promised that chances would be better used and money would be collected for improved medical facilities.
“We’ll examine it and decide how to proceed. He said, “I promise that opportunities will be better utilized and that better medical facilities will be introduced.”
