Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the government will now get direction and we will move forward at a fast pace
Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the administration would get guidance immediately and that we will proceed quickly after the Jharkhand cabinet enlargement.
“Everything is occurring fast as time passes. We will go more quickly now that the government has the direction,” Soren told reporters.
The long-awaited cabinet expansion in Jharkhand was completed on Thursday as 11 MLAs were sworn in as ministers in the JMM-led Mahagathbandhan administration.
Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the state governor, delivered the oath at a swearing-in ceremony held in Ranchi’s Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been the only minister in the state government’s cabinet since his swearing-in ceremony on November 28. However, the other ministers’ swearing-in ceremony officially increased the size of the cabinet.
Six members of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and four members of the Congress were among the MLAs who took the oath of office as ministers; the RJD was also granted one ministerial position in Soren’s cabinet.
As ministers, JMM MLAs Yogendra Prasad, Sudivya Kumar, Ramdas Soren, Hafizul Hasan, Deepak Birua, and Chamra Linda were sworn in.
Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Irfan Ansari, Dipika Pandey Singh, and Radha Krishana Kishore are the four Congress MLAs that have been admitted into CM Soren’s cabinet.
The state’s JMM-led Mahagathbandhan administration swore in RJD MLA Sanjay Prasad Yadav as a minister.
On November 28, Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, took the oath of office for a second straight term.
With 56 members in the 81-member Jharkhand legislature, the JMM led the INDIA bloc to victory. While its partners got 22 seats, the JMM won 34 seats. The Congress secured 16 seats, the RJD four, and the CPI-ML two among the allies.
Just 24 seats were won by the BJP-led NDA in Jharkhand. The BJP won 21 seats, while its partners, the JD-U, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and AJSU party, each took home one seat.
