CBI registers a new corruption case against Vijay Kumar Maggo
New Delhi: Vijay Kumar Maggo, the law officer of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), is the target of a new corruption case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The CBI claims that Maggo amassed assets totaling Rs 5.21 crore between April 2019 and November 2024, which is out of proportion to his known legitimate revenue streams.
“Maggo has acquired assets in his own name and in the name of his family members, which are beyond his known sources of income,” according to the CBI.
Former Delhi Chief Minister and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, said on Monday that senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s home will soon be raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
“A few days ago, I said that certain AAP leaders will be searched and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi ji would be detained. In the next days, Manish Sisodia’s home will be the target of a CBI raid, according to trustworthy sources. The BJP is losing the elections in Delhi. Their dissatisfaction has led to these raids and arrests. They have not yet discovered anything against us, and they won’t in the future. “AAP” is a party that is steadfastly honest,” Arvind Kejriwal wrote on X.
Manish Sisodia previously served as the Patparganj seat’s representative from 2013 until 2024. He narrowly won the seat in the 2020 assembly elections. He is running against BJP politician Tarvinder Singh Marwah this time from Jangpura.
Days after AAP leader Kejriwal foretold Delhi Chief Minister Atishi’s arrest, the assertion was made.
