Burari building collapse operation rescues family of four
New Delhi: Two days after the Burari building collapse disaster, a family of four was miraculously saved. These individuals were recovered at roughly three in the morning on Wednesday after being buried under the rubble since Monday night.
The rescued family, which includes two children, has been taken to a hospital and is receiving treatment, according to the Delhi Police.
According to the victims, a cylinder formed a gap as soon as the ceiling fell, and they were trapped inside for two days. The rescue effort saved their lives.
There are now five people dead in the building collapse tragedy. In addition, 16 people who were buried under the rubble were retrieved by the rescue crew.
The Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Services, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are continuing to conduct rescue efforts at the location.
The builder Yogendra Bhati has been detained by the Delhi Police, who have filed a formal complaint in the matter under many provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS).
AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha of Burari said on Tuesday that the relatives of the dead will get an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh, while the children who passed away would receive Rs 5 lakh.
It was a terrible event. A structure that housed a few laborers fell. While some have already been saved, others are still in the process of being rescued.According to the information obtained, two persons have passed away thus far.The rescue effort is in progress. Around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, the four-story structure in Kaushik Enclave, Burari, fell. At 6:58 p.m., police reported receiving a call about the incident.
In a previous statement, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi reassured the public that all assistance would be provided to those impacted and directed the local government to guarantee prompt relief and rescue efforts for those who were thought to be stranded.
