BSF recovered three Pakistani drones along Punjab border using “advanced technical counter measures”
Authorities reported that three Pakistani drones were retrieved by Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Punjab using “advanced technical countermeasures” near the Punjab border.
On Monday, the drones were found in Rajatal village in Amritsar, Punjab.
“These drones were effectively neutralised using advanced technical countermeasures, preventing them from being used for narcotics smuggling,” the Border Security Force said.
“In a significant operation today, BSF Punjab troops recovered three Pakistani drones, including two DJI Matrice RTK 350 drones and one DJI Mavic 3 Classic, from Rajatal village along the Punjab border,” the BSF Punjab Frontier said on the social networking site X (previously Twitter) on December 30.

“This achievement highlights BSF Punjab’s unwavering commitment to securing the borders and curbing cross-border drug trafficking activities,” the Border Security Force said in its post.
As part of its continuous seizure operations in the border region of Tarn Taran district, the BSF, along with the Punjab Police, successfully retrieved a shipment of heroin on Sunday, the BSF said in a news statement.
One suspected heroin package weighing 534 grams was found in a farming area next to the hamlet of Palpate in the Tarn Taran district by BSF personnel and the Punjab Police, based on information from the BSF intelligence branch.
In addition to a makeshift metal wire loop with two fluorescent sticks attached, the drug container was discovered wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.
According to the announcement, another illegal drone infiltration and smuggling attempt from the other side of the border was successfully foiled thanks to the BSF’s diligent efforts and trustworthy intelligence, which were coordinated with the Punjab Police.
As part of its continuous seizure operations, the BSF and Punjab Police retrieved a drone and a shipment of heroin earlier this month, the BSF stated in a news statement.
