BRS leader K Kavitha urges Telangana government to introduce bill for education and employment for backward classes

Jangaon: In a major Telangana development, MLC K. Kavitha of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has asked the state government to present distinct laws for political, employment, and educational reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) instead of a single bill. This occurs as the Congress administration of Telangana gets ready to introduce a measure that would give BCs a 42% quota.

“The Congress government has stated that they are going to introduce a BC in the assembly,” Kavitha told ANI in the Jangaon district on Thursday. We insist that they refrain from introducing a single measure that addresses political reservation, education, and jobs. We are calling for separate legislation for BC’s education reservations, BC’s job reservations, and BC’s political reservations.

Kavitha underlined that a separate measure is necessary to fulfill the government’s pledge to implement 42% political reservation. In the same vein, she supported separate legislation for BC students’ 46% employment and 46% education reservations. The BRS MLC voiced doubts about the census results, speculating that there may be a larger population in BC.

“The census was completed under this administration. We all have concerns with the census results, but as they said, 42% of political objections must be made; nevertheless, this should be addressed in a different law.

They say that 46% of the population is from British Columbia. Although we think there are more, 46% of employment reservations need to be listed individually. She argued that the 46% education reserve for BC students needs to be presented separately.

In addition, K Kavitha attacked the Congress-led Telangana government harshly during his speech to the BRS cadre in Jangaon, accusing it of repressing dissent and persecuting political opponents. She said that the administration, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, was intimidating critics by abusing the police.

“Why are they (the Congress government) scared today? The Chief Minister fears that someone will remark on X about it. They will be arrested from their residence the next day. The Chief Minister is terrified if someone posts a video on Facebook. The cops will arrive the next day. In a similar vein, our coordinator Manoj Reddy was charged, removed from his family, and imprisoned for 16 days.

“Everything is being observed by us. BRS is going to keep a pink book. Don’t worry. Interest will be applied on our repayment. With a copy of the Constitution in his pocket, your Rahul Gandhi wanders about. “Here, Revanth Reddy disregards the Constitution and files unlawful cases,” she said.
