BJP will form government in Delhi: Virendra Sachdeva
Virendraa Sachdeva, the president of the Delhi BJP, said on Wednesday that the BJP would establish the government in Delhi regardless of whether the Congress and AAP form an alliance for the assembly elections.
His comments followed Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), ruling out a partnership with the Congress on Wednesday.
“The Aam Aadmi Party will be fighting this election on its own strength in Delhi,” Kejriwal said in a post on X. There is no chance for any kind of cooperation with Congress.
“We don’t know who trusts Arvind Kejriwal’s point of view,” Virendraa Sachdeva told media. The deception and Arvind Kejriwal are pals. The Bharatiya Janata Party does not care if the Congress-AAP partnership is formed or not. Delhi’s government will be formed by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The announcement follows rumors that the Congress and AAP were nearing an agreement to form an alliance for the Delhi poll.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal were criticized by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav earlier on December 7 for being to blame for the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the nation’s capital.
In addition, Devendra Yadav insisted that Kejriwal request the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, just as he did with previous Chief Minister Shiela Dixit in the Nirbhaya case.
The head of the Delhi Congress further said that women are disproportionately affected by rising crime rates, including as rape, harassment, murder, gang warfare, snatching, and fire.
The Congress party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not won any seats in the last two assembly elections.
Early in 2025 is when Delhi’s Assembly elections are anticipated to take place. In the 2020 assembly elections, the AAP took home 62 of the 70 seats, while the BJP took home eight.
