BJP state vice-president Rajiv Bhardwaj blamed the Congress party for the ‘deteriorating situation’ in the state
Rajeev Bhardwaj, the vice president of the Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party, accused the Congress party and its leaders on Sunday of being responsible for the “deteriorating condition” in the state.
He further said that Congress ministries and its leader were always giving the people inaccurate information and evading inquiries during the Assembly.
“Now the Chief Minister is even talking about going to the Supreme Court but why he is going is beyond understanding,” the vice president of the BJP said.
He said that there was a physician deficit in Himachal Pradesh’s hospitals and medical schools, with certain institutions lacking specialized physicians.
The BJP spokesman said that the Comptroller and Auditor General report 2022–2023 before the Assembly showed that the districts of Chamba and Sirmaur had the worst shortfall of physicians, estimated at 42%.
Despite having nine to eleven outpatient departments (OPDs), district and civic hospitals only have two to five OPDs, according to the research.
Bhardwaj said that the absence of personnel prevented the patients from receiving their benefits even when equipment costing lakhs of rupees had been bought.
He said, “We would want to make it clear that the data are from the government and are authentic, even if Congress party officials would now claim that they were faked representations of BJP leaders.
According to Bhardwaj, seven of the 18 medical establishments that were the subject of the CAG study were operating X-ray machines without a license.
“Without license renewal, out of 25 selected institutions of the state, 12 health institutions were running blood banks without license renewal,” he said.
98 primary health centers out of 575 did not get a NOC or approval from the State Pollution Control Board to produce biological waste.
According to the CAG study, during this time, the authorized number of hospital beds climbed by 45.02 percent, while the actual availability increased by 20.60 percent.
In IGMC, there were enough beds available, although in many wards, two or three patients shared a bed. According to the CAG study, a bed deficit of eight to seventy-one percent was discovered at nine of the state’s twelve district hospitals.
According to the BJP leader, it was obvious that the Congress administration and its leaders were attempting to force the State to submit rather than fostering Himachal’s independence.
He went on to say that the chief minister was the same one who had promised to make Himachal self-sufficient before the assembly elections and who, in his own district, had likened the state to Sri Lanka as soon as the government was established.
“The intentions of the CM and his leaders are clear, they are only thinking about their own interests and not about Himachal,” Bhardwaj said.
