BJP’s Narayanan Thirupathy attacks Tamil Nadu CM Stalin for holding all-party conference
Chennai: Narayanan Thirupathy, the vice president of the Tamil Nadu BJP, attacked the chief minister for attempting to distract attention in order to “hide the failure of his government in the last four years” during the all-party meeting on delimitation and the dispute over the three-language policy.

Thirupathy told the media report that the encounter was unwelcome. He is attempting to conceal his government’s shortcomings during the last four years, including the decline in law and order and the violence against women.
“The administration is completely mishandled. By bringing up all of these topics, Stalin is attempting to distract people. Tamil Nadu residents are fully aware,” he said.
Notably, on March 5, Chief Minister MK Stalin called an all-party conference to discuss the matter.
Stalin had earlier said that the 40 Tamil Nadu political parties registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI) will get invites to the all-party conference.
DMK leader Kanimozhi, meanwhile, said that people were curious about the grounds for the exercise and that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has voiced a legitimate and significant worry over the planned delimitation of Lok Sabha seats.
She said that the misunderstanding has only increased as a result of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statements that Tamil Nadu will not lose seats.
“After the census, MK Stalin, the head of the DMK and the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, voiced a legitimate and significant worry over delimitation. Those with regulated population growth, like Tamil Nadu, would lose seats if the delimitation is based on population, whereas those with uncontrolled population growth, like Bihar or Uttar Pradesh, will gain seats. Tamil Nadu would not lose seats pro rata, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was recently in Coimbatore. However, she noted, his comments have caused more uncertainty than clarity.
