BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia said the BJP has “defeated” Arvind Kejriwal and his “corrupt government”
New Delhi: On Wednesday, BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya said that the exit polls show the BJP had “defeated” Arvind Kejriwal and his “corrupt government.” Voter participation for the election of Delhi’s 70-member assembly was 60.42 percent on Wednesday night.
Exit polls were issued after the assembly elections, and the majority of them predicted that the BJP would form Delhi’s next administration. Voter turnout is scheduled for February 8. The AAP is looking for a third straight term, while the BJP wants to retake the National Capital.
“We said right away that the BJP will take power in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s promise would be fulfilled. People have decided to vote Kejriwal out after eleven years of poor government,” Chandoliya told ANI.
All of the exit polls, he said, seem to indicate that the BJP will form the government. “I am certain that we (BJP) will form the government,” he said.
He made reference to the exit polls when he said, “We have defeated Arvind Kejriwal and his corrupt government.”
The BJP is expected to establish the next government in Delhi, according to the majority of exit polls conducted on Wednesday, with the incumbent AAP trailing behind. In the assembly elections, Congress is predicted to maintain its poor performance.
The exit polls differed in their predictions of the BJP’s winning margin; one suggested that the party may win between 51 and 60 of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats. AAP victory was also anticipated by two surveys. Following Wednesday’s end of the Delhi assembly votes, the exit polls released their projections.
The P-MARQ exit poll predicts that the Congress would gain 0–1 seats, the AAP 21–31 seats, and the BJP 39–49 assembly seats.
The BJP and AAP were expected to compete closely, according to Matrize’s exit poll. It predicted that the AAP will win 32–37 seats and the BJP would win 35–40 seats. Congress may win one seat, it said.
According to a People’s Pulse exit poll, the AAP might win 10–19 seats and the BJP 51–60 assembly seats. Congress did not get any seats, according to the exit poll.
