BJP MLAs thanked Odisha CM for successful organisation of DG and IGP conference
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was complimented by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs and ministers for organizing the DG and IGP conference so well.
On the first day of the DG/IGP Conference in Bhubaneswar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in talks on a range of security and policing-related topics.
The Prime Minister has pushed for the DG/IGP Conference to take place nationwide since 2014. Guwahati, Assam; Rann of Kachchh, Gujarat; Hyderabad, Telangana; Tekanpur, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh; Statue of Unity, Kevadia, Gujarat; Pune, Maharashtra; Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; New Delhi; and Jaipur, Rajasthan, have all hosted the conference in the past.
The 59th DGsP/IGsP Conference 2024 was held in Bhubaneswar from November 29 to December 1 in keeping with this custom.
The conference gave senior police officers and security officials in the nation a forum to openly discuss and debate a range of national security-related topics as well as other operational, infrastructure, and welfare-related challenges that the Indian police confront.
In addition to internal security risks, it discussed and developed professional techniques and procedures for addressing issues with law and order management and criminal control.
Ministers of State (Home Affairs), DGPs of States and UTs, Chiefs of Central Police Organizations, the Union Home Minister, the Principal Secretary to the PM, and the National Security Adviser were among those who attended the conference.
The meeting also gained some special elements this year. Beginning with yoga sessions, business sessions, breakout sessions, and themed dining tables, the whole day is being efficiently used. Additionally, it gave top police officers a great chance to share their thoughts and recommendations with the Prime Minister on important internal security and policing issues that affect the whole nation.
