BJP MLA Anil Sharma assured the residents that he would try to change the name of Mohammadpur village to Madhavpuram
New Delhi: On Thursday, BJP MLA Anil Sharma gave locals his word that he will work to change the name of Mohammadpur village in the RK Puram seat to Madhavpuram. He said that while the municipal corporation had already approved the idea, it had languished in the Assembly and was now about to be brought up again.

“The corporation had passed a proposal to change the name of Madhavpuram village long ago,” BJP MLA Anil Sharma told the media report. The Assembly has long been considering the proposition. They must have kept it hidden someplace since the Aam Aadmi Party has had a government up to this point. Now that I have time from the esteemed speaker, I shall have time for this matter tomorrow. I’ll bring up this matter.”
“People demand that this village should be named Madhavpuram village instead of Mohammadpur,” he said in response to a question about the rationale for the hamlet’s renaming. The Delhi government is established. The way the people’s government operates is in line with their demands. We’ll get the job done,” Sharma said.
“We will try to keep a proposal,” said BJP MLA Anil Sharma, reaffirming his commitment to meeting the requests of the people. If the Speaker gives him the chance, he will officially offer the plan as soon as possible. If the speaker allows us to speak tomorrow, we will do so; if not, we will present our idea today as soon as Monday has a chance.”
MLA Anil Sharma has promised to do all in his power to make sure the locals’ feelings are reflected in the name change. The RK Puram constituency includes the hamlet of Mohammedpur.
Anil Sharma previously called attention to the serious water and sewage difficulties in RK Puram during his speech in the Assembly, saying, “Everywhere I went in RK Puram, the issues of water and sewerage have come to the forefront.” The situation is really bad in a number of the constituency’s communities. Sewage pours there all day and all night. He demanded that the government respond right now to allay the locals’ mounting worries.
