BJP Legislature Party meeting was held today in Mumbai, Maharashtra
Mumbai, Maharashtra, hosted a meeting of the BJP parliamentary party on Wednesday.
The meeting was headed by Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani, the party’s central observers for the state. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the party’s state president, and other party officials were also present.
All of the leaders agreed when Devendra Fadnavis was suggested as the legislative party’s leader.
Vijay Rupani, the central observer for the BJP, initiated the parliamentary party’s leader selection process. In accordance with protocol, party MLAs put up their names.
“I begin the process of choosing the legislative party’s leader,” Rupani said. As a Democratic Party, we shall choose our leader based on the preferences of the MLAs in attendance. You may suggest names in accordance with protocol.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the leader of the Maharashtra BJP, said at the meeting that the party is dedicated to using PM Modi’s support to propel Maharashtra to the top spot after winning a historic mandate for Mahayuti.
“Under the direction of Devendra Fadanvis, we all participated in a historic election and secured a historic mandate for Mahayuti. With PM Modi’s assistance, we are determined to elevate Maharashtra to the top spot. Since we ran for 149 seats and won 132—the most ever—we should thank the crores of Maharashtra residents. 41 and 57 seats were also gained by our allies. We will have 237 Mahayuti members in this Assembly since seven MLAs have also backed us,” he remarked.
Today, the Mahayuti alliance—which consists of the BJP, the Shiv Sena headed by Eknath Shinde, and the NCP led by Ajit Pawar—is expected to announce their chief ministerial candidate for Maharashtra.
Independent MLA Ravi Rana told reporters that Devendra Fadnavis must be the state’s chief minister in order for Maharashtra to grow and prosper.
“Devendra Fadnavis is essential to Maharashtra’s progress and future. We’re with him.Maharashtra residents want Fadnavis to be the chief minister. Rana spoke those words.
“The name of Maharashtra women’s dear brother will be announced at some point today,” said Chitra Kishor Wagh, president of the Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha. It’s just a question of time, and we sisters are all extremely thrilled.”
The new Mahayuti government’s swearing-in preparations are well under way.
Mahayuti alliance leaders traveled to Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Tuesday to supervise the Chief Minister’s oath-taking ceremony, which is set for December 5. Following the Mahayuti alliance’s overwhelming win in the assembly elections, the event will usher in the new Maharashtra administration.
The sports field was visited by a number of figures, including Sanjay Shirsat, Gulab Rao Patil, and BJP leader Girish Mahajan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a number of chief ministers, and prominent NDA politicians are anticipated to attend the event.
Eknath Shinde, the interim chief minister of Maharashtra, met with relevant authorities on Tuesday to assess the planning for the December 6 ceremony commemorating Dr. BR Ambedkar’s death anniversary at Chaityabhoomi.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, State Minister Deepak Kesarkar, and Chief Secretary Sujata Sounik were among those present at the hybrid meeting.
On November 23, the Maharashtra assembly vote results were announced, and the Mahayuti alliance—which consists of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP—won handily.
