Imphal West: In the Imphal West area, Manipur Police detained an active member of the KCP-Noyon gang on suspicion of engaging in extortion and confiscated firearms and ammunition from him. The culprit was identified as Waikhom Loveson Singh (31) by the Manipur police.

On April 6, 2025, Manipur Police apprehended one active KCP (PWG) cadre, Waikhom Loveson Singh (31) of Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak, Imphal West District, from Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak under City-PS, Imphal West District, the police stated on X. The individual that was apprehended is engaged in extortion.
Security forces, meanwhile, carried out area dominance and search operations on the outskirts and weak spots of the hill and valley districts.
During an operation, security authorities found a lot of weapons and ammunition in the farmlands under Wangoi Police Station in the Imphal West District, close to the Nambul River.
One SLR with one magazine and two modified magazines was found by the security personnel. One hand grenade, two SBBL, two .303 rifles with magazines, .32 domestic pistol with a magazine, six tube launchers, .303 rifle rounds, twelve AK rifle rounds, two tear gas, and four stun shells.
