BJP leader CT Ravi filed a counter complaint at Khanapura police station in Belagavi

Belagavi: BJP leader CT Ravi accused Congress leaders Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Chamaraja Hattiholi, DK Shivakumar, Saddam, and others of trying to murder him in a counter-complaint he filed at the Khanapura police station in Belagavi on Friday. The said event took place in Belagavi at Suvarna Soudha.

According to CT Ravi, the cops took him to the Khanapura police station without giving him an explanation. Around 8:00 p.m., cops took me to the Khanapura police station. They brought me in a case they didn’t specify. Not only are they not filing a zero FIR, they are not even recording my complaint. The Congress administration must be held accountable if anything were to happen to me,” the BJP leader said.

Ravi went on to accuse the police and Congress leaders of plotting against him. “They are plotting my death by filing a bogus lawsuit. I’ve previously complained about it. I was taken to the police station three hours ago, and I still don’t know why.” The police, DK Shivakumar, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, and their team will be held accountable if something were to happen to me,” he said.

Ravi also voiced his displeasure with his treatment, saying it was comparable to what was done during the Emergency. “I’m becoming doubtful because they’re treating me like a criminal. I am a representative of the people and have served as a minister. “They’re behaving in the same manner as they did during the ‘Emergency,'” the BJP candidate said.

R. Ashoka, a BJP legislator and the leader of the opposition in the Karnataka State Assembly, attacked the Belagavi City Police Commissioner, claiming that CT Ravi had been tortured after being arrested. “The police station has turned into a Congress party office,” Ashoka told ANI. We have spent the previous four to five hours sitting here as elected officials.

The acknowledgment is not coming from the police commissioner. CT Ravi, who was bleeding from the head, was tortured by the police commissioner. Karnataka as a whole is governed by “goondaraj.” Tomorrow, the BJP will demonstrate. I would want to inform the police officers that this government is temporary. Consider the state of law and order.

Chetan, CT Ravi’s attorney, stated, “We hurried to Khanapura Police Station as soon as we got the news. For about an hour, we were not allowed to enter the police station. During detention or questioning, each accused person is entitled to see their attorney.

We were denied entry for one and a half hours in spite of this. CT Ravi informed us that he wanted to file a formal complaint since he was facing threats to his life. Although a single complaint was written, the FIR had not yet been filed. This is blatantly arrogant behavior. Tomorrow, BJP MLAs and MLCs will discuss the issue in the legislature.

He also claimed that the cops had a prejudice. “Regardless of the current administration, the police are supposed to remain unbiased. While being forcibly removed by cops, CT Ravi sustained injuries. This is comparable to an emergency. “We intend to submit grievances to both the Karnataka Human Rights Commission and the National Human Rights Commission,” he said.

“From the standpoint of law and order, we will not disclose the next location where CT Ravi is being taken,” said Lada Martin, the commissioner of police for Belagavi City.

BJP MLC CT Ravi was accused by Lakshmi Hebbalkar of using “obscene words” during a heated argument in which Ravi reportedly referred to Rahul Gandhi as a drug user. Following the event, Congress members of the Legislative Council complained to Chairman Basavaraj Horatti.

After Hebbalkar complained, Suvarna Soudha took CT Ravi into jail. His reported “derogatory remarks” against Karnataka Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar prompted the filing of a formal complaint at the Hirebagewadi Police Station in Belagavi.

In his response to the FIR, CT Ravi denied the accusations and described them as unfounded. The BJP leader told ANI, “The Congress has a tendency to make false accusations. They are now doing the same to me as they did to Home Minister Amit Shah.
