BJP’s Dilip Ghosh targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her recent remarks on Kumbh

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s recent comments on the Kumbh, along with other urgent matters like voter turnout and the discovery of explosives in Amdanga, have prompted a strong response from Dilip Ghosh, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Ghosh questioned the Chief Minister’s position on the Ganga Snan in response to Banerjee’s Kumbh comment, asking, “What choice will the Chief Minister make on the Snan? People believe those who are knowledgeable about these issues. ‘Jai Shree Ram’ was chanted by all of her people, including the MPs and the MLA, as they performed Ganga Snan and Triveni Ndan. She may still go and do the snan; there is still time. You may also take “Ganga Jal” from there and sprinkle it over them. And in order to cleanse their mouth, the individual whose mouth is releasing such improper items needs to be given a sip of Ganga Jal.

On Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee said that the assertion that Maha Kumbh will come after 144 years was false.

144 years from now, Mahakumbh will arrive. This is incorrect. Please correct me if I’m mistaken. The punya snan (holy dip) system, as I understand it, occurs annually. The Gangasagar Mela is really something we organize. I am aware of the holy dip because of this,” she said.

“There are no restrictions, no police action; people who are involved in anti-social activities are working openly, doing business with the left-wing, sending people to other states, and the people here are suffering,” Ghosh stated in reference to the explosives found in Amdanga.

Ghosh also voiced worries about Bengal’s voting participation, especially in the border regions. “Mamata Banerjee’s party is exhibiting greater voter support in Bengal, much as in Delhi,” he said. “The number of voters at the border has doubled, totaling lakhs, but where do these people come from? They get voter cards and ration cards, and they are stirring up trouble all throughout the nation.”

Ghosh bemoaned the plight of the tea business in Bengal and commended the advancements made in Assam. “The Assamese tea business is doing well and making more money than the Bengali tea sector, which is in such bad shape. However, the present administration only contributes politically. The BJP is and will keep trying to improve the working conditions for the workers there.

He went on to commend North-East growth, saying, “The development in the last ten years has never happened before.” Every state now has high-speed motorways, new bridges are being constructed, and residents see development. They now believe they are in India, where they may access a wide range of services from the central government.

“The most dishonest and corrupt government was in Delhi, but that has now changed,” Ghosh said in response to the CAG report’s tabling in Delhi. All of their transgressions will eventually surface. See for yourself. They have embezzled thousands of crores. Everyone will end up behind bars, whether they are already incarcerated or not.
