Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated all the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr
Patna: On Monday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wished all of his fellow citizens a happy Eid-ul-Fitr.
“Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar offered Eid Mubarak and congratulations to all the Namazis, Muslim brothers and sisters, people of Bihar and the countrymen,” according to a press statement.

To commemorate Eid, the Chief Minister traveled to Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where he greeted and spoke with Imam Idain Hazrat Maulana Mehsud Ahmed Qadri Nadvi.
“On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Gandhi Maidan and met Imam Idain Hazrat Maulana Mehsud Ahmed Qadri Nadvi, exchanged greetings, and offered Eid Mubarak,” the Bihar government’s official press release said. In addition, Imam Idain Hazrat Maulana Mehsud Ahmed Qadri Nadvi prayed for the happiness, prosperity, growth, and advancement of Bihar and wished Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar a happy Eid Mubarak.
According to the announcement, Mahmood Alam, the president of the Edain Committee, had earlier honored Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by giving him a turban and a bouquet. The release also stated that other dignitaries were present, including Mr. Ashok Choudhary, the Minister of Rural Works; Mr. Irshadullah, the Chairman of the Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board; Mr. Mayank Barbade, the Commissioner of Patna Division; Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh, the District Magistrate of Patna; Mr. Avkash Kumar; and other officials.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent out wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr earlier today.
The Prime Minister posted on social media X, saying, “Happy Eid-ul-Fitr. May this celebration strengthen our society’s sense of compassion, peace, and optimism. I hope all of your endeavors bring you happiness and success.” Happy Eid Mubarak!”
President Droupadi Murmu also wished everyone a happy day.
“Happy Eid-ul-Fitr to all of my fellow citizens, particularly my Muslim brothers and sisters. This celebration fosters a sense of fraternity and spreads the word about embracing kindness and generosity. In his post on social network X, the President said in Urdu, “I hope that this festival brings peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone’s life and strengthens the spirit of moving forward on the path of goodness in everyone’s hearts.”
Millions of Muslims across gathered in mosques and prayer sites on Monday morning to recite Namaz in observance of Eid ul-Fitr, which was marked by the crescent moon the previous evening.
