Bihar: A man killed a girl and her father and then shot himself at Ara railway station

Arrah: According to police, a man shot himself dead at the Ara Railway Station in Bihar on Tuesday after killing a girl and her father. The victims have been named by the police as Anil Sinha and Jiya Kumari, his daughter. Aman Kumar, a native of Bhojpur, Bihar, was identified as the shooter.

According to the authorities, the incident happened on the railway overbridge that connects platforms two and three.

“Three persons have died from gunshot wounds sustained on the overbridge that connects platforms three and four of Ara Railway Station. An eyewitness said that a guy between the ages of 23 and 24 opened fire on a 16–17-year-old girl and her father. Later on, he shot himself. There will be a thorough probe,” ASP Parichay Kumar said.

To determine the precise reason for the assault, the police are collecting statements and supporting evidence.

The murder weapon has been confiscated, according to RPF Senior Commandant Prakash Panda, who also said that more investigation is being conducted.

“There have been three fatalities. Jiya Kumari and her father, Anil Sinha, were shot dead by the accused, Aman Kumar, a 24-year-old Bhojpur resident. Later on, he shot himself. We’re looking into it. CCTV camera setups will be made. We will place some cameras on the foot over bridge, even though the train station has around 40 cameras. Panda said, “A murder weapon has been seized.”
