Bhupesh Baghel spoke to the family of the deceased police constable, and said the victim’s family demanded a CBI inquiry
Chhattisgarh: In an interview with the family of the police constable who was discovered hanging from a tree in the Rajnandgaon district on Saturday, Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stated that the victim’s family had brought up “discrepancies” and had called for a CBI investigation into the case.
“Today, I spoke to the family members. There were differences, they said. The system has broken down. Every agency is being investigated. “The families are calling for a CBI investigation, and it ought to be conducted,” Baghel told the media report.
Baghel said, “Who has allegations on their hand? If they will investigate, then what will be the results?” when asked whether the SIT had been formed in the matter. It’s an effort to hide the truth.
Anil Ratnakar, the police constable, was being investigated in relation to a purported police recruiting fraud. He was put on duty during the current police recruiting process and assigned to the Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. In the town of Ghorda, his corpse was discovered dangling from a tree.
Bhupesh Baghel expressed suspicion about the death earlier on Sunday as well, claiming that it was the result of purported irregularities in the recruiting campaign.
Baghel requested in an X post that CM Vishnu Deo Sai make sure the CBI looked into it.
“The Rajnandgaon police recruiting scandal seems to be a significant issue. Its gravity is shown by the writing that Constable Anil Ratnakar left on his hand before his suicide. “Employees are being framed; officers are being protected” is what it means. It’s obvious that all officials are participating, @vishnudsai ji. There has undoubtedly been corruption. In a post on X, the former CM said that officials too have a part to play.
The former chief minister said in another post, “Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai ji should get this scam and murder investigated by the CBI.”
