Before the Delhi assembly elections, AAP, BJP and Congress candidates visited temples and offered prayers
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, and Congress candidates resorted to their religious side by going to temples and praying as the destiny of important Delhi leaders is about to be determined with counting for the Delhi assembly votes, which are scheduled to start soon.
During his prayers at the Kalkaji temple before the results of the Delhi election, Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party candidate for the Greater Kailash seat, Saurabh Bharadwaj, said, “Whatever happens, now it is in the hands of the mother goddess.”
Bhardwaj seemed confident when he predicted that the AAP would establish a government with a comfortable majority.
“The AAP has the blessings of the people, despite every effort to remove them from power. I think Arvind Kejriwal will be elected chief minister for the fourth time by the people. He will be sworn in as the CM in a few days. We are hearing from several sources that the AAP will form a government with a comfortable majority.”AAP will receive at least 40 to 45 seats,” he said.
Shikha Rai, his opponent and BJP candidate, expressed confidence in her win while praying at the Kalkaji temple. She said, “I have come here to take the blessings of Maa Kalka.”I have no doubt that I will win.
At the Hanuman Temple in Green Park, Malviya Nagar candidate and BJP leader Satish Upadhyay said prayers.
“The way the county is becoming Viksit Bharat, the same way ‘Lotus’ will bloom in Delhi,” he remarked. For AAP, there won’t be a hat trick. Exit polls reveal the public’s sentiment.
A BJP candidate from Moti Nagar named Harish Khurana exuded confidence when he predicted that the party would return to Delhi after 27 years and win more than 50 seats.
“Based on the overwhelming public reaction, the BJP will win more than 50 seats in Delhi overall, not only in Motinagar. People were having problems. However, Arvind Kejriwal and his team were dithering with the politics of accusations and charges rather than responding to their inquiries. They haven’t succeeded. After 27 years, the BJP will make its comeback to Delhi today,” Khurana said.
Kailash Gangwal, the BJP candidate for Madipur, declared his confidence, stating, “People have made up their minds and they have voted in large numbers for the BJP for a change and the BJP government is going to be formed this time.”
Alka Lamba, a former AAP leader and Congress candidate for Kalkaji, also said prayers at the Kalkaji temple before the vote count.
According to Lamba, her party ran on the platform of the people’s concerns and would respect whatever Delhi decides.
“With Kalka ji’s darshan, I launched my electoral campaign… We have fought elections on the basis of people’s concerns. We will now accept whatever the Delhi people decide,” she said.
Abhishek Dutt, a Congress MLA candidate from Kasturba Nagar, voiced optimism ahead of the results of the Delhi election, saying, “The truth and our hard work will win.” I have no doubt that people will give me another opportunity to help them.
Pravesh Ratan, the Patel Nagar AAP MLA candidate, said, “We’ll see a positive outcome. With a huge majority, the AAP will take power in Delhi.
Security at the counting stations in the National Capital Territory has been increased by the authorities.
While the BJP is working to regain power in the National Capital after more than 20 years, the AAP is seeking a third straight term.
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats.
Delhi’s previous two assembly elections have been dominated by the AAP, but the BJP is hoping to reverse the trend and take back power after more than 20 years.
