Prashanth Neel, who previously directed Srii Murali in the 2014 action-thriller Ugramm, wrote the screenplay for the film. A woman and her kid have a thoughtful talk at the start of the Bagheera trailer. “Mom, why is God only present in stories like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana?

“Why is he not able to appear every time?” inquires the little youngster. His mother clarifies, saying that God is not always present. He assumes the divine form when social crimes reach unimaginable heights, when bad acts eclipse the good, when society is in disarray, and when people start acting like demons. He does not always assume the divine form. He is also capable of taking the shape of a demon.

Viewers get a peek of Bagheera, a masked vigilante who takes it upon himself to ruthlessly eliminate offenders, as the film goes on. Bagheera is a character who stands up for what is right, even if it means violating a few laws, which is highlighted by the fact that despite his acts, he is seen as a criminal for taking the law into his own hands. It’s evident that Srii Murali plays Bagheera, who during the day is a police officer and during the night turns into a rebel with a purpose.

The teaser for Bagheera explores the fundamental principles of good and evil while promising a ton of action scenes, explosions, and gore.

The combination of Srii Murali’s superhero-like black mask and the ominous and gloomy cinematography—which features rain, thunderstorms, and cloudy skies—makes the picture seem a lot like The Dark Knight, a Hollywood production in which Christian Bale played the masked hero, Batman.

Bagheera says, “I am not even afraid of my own reflection in the mirror, so why should I fear you,” as the teaser ends.

“It’s time to ROAR,” Srii Murali posted on Instagram, sharing the news of Bagheera’s trailer release.
Vijay Kiragandur produces Bagheera under the Hombale Films label. The project also involves Rukmini Vasanth, Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, and Achyuth Kumar. On October 31, Bagheera will be released on screen.
