Atul Subhash Case: Nikita Singhania’s uncle is granted anticipatory release by the Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj: Sushil Singhania, one of the defendants in the Atul Subhash suicide case, was granted anticipatory bail by the Allahabad High Court on Monday. Atul Subhash‘s wife’s uncle is Sushil Singhania. On December 15, Nikita Singhania, Nisha Singhania, and Anurag Singhania—the remaining defendants in the case—were taken into custody.

Shiv Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Whitefield, Karnataka, said earlier on Sunday that the three defendants had been placed under judicial custody.

He said that Nikita Singhania, the defendant, had been taken into custody in Gurugram, Haryana. The other suspects, including Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania, were taken into custody close to Hotel Rameshwaram in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, DCP Kumar said.

“Nikita Singhania, the defendant, was taken into custody close to the Blossom Stayz PG in Gurugram. In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, accused Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania were taken into custody close to the Hotel Rameshwaram. After being transported to Bengaluru, they were shown before the court. They’ve been placed into judicial detention on remand.Several teams were sent to various locations. DCP Kumar informed ANI.

According to the police, the court ordered Nikita Singhania’s brother, Anurag Singhania, and mother, Nisha Singhania, to be placed in judicial custody.

In his 24-page suicide note, 34-year-old Atul Subhash, the deputy general manager of a private company, accused his wife and her family members of harassing him before taking his own life in his Bengaluru residence on Monday. He further claimed in his suicide letter that a court had asked for Rs 5 lakh to “settle” the matter.

Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru techie who passed away, made a petition on Sunday for custody of his grandson. Pawan Kumar Modi, Subhash’s father, has pleaded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and others to guarantee his grandson’s custody.

The dead man’s brother, Bikas Kumar Modi, has also voiced worries about his nephew’s location. He said that there were still two arrests to be made in the investigation.
