Atishi attacked the BJP and alleged that it has no agenda other than abusing Kejriwal
New Delhi: AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi attacked the BJP on Thursday, saying it had no goal other than to insult AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi Assembly election is coming up, and the BJP has no chief ministerial candidate, she remarked.
“This ‘galli-galoch’ party has no CM face for Delhi, no agenda, and no story. Throwing insults at Arvind Kejriwal is their primary job. After opening the AAP election headquarters in Govindpuri, Atishi told reporters, “I think it will be very easy for the people of Delhi to make a decision.”
According to Kejriwal, the AAP and BJP would face off directly in the Delhi assembly elections rather than the INDIA coalition.
“The AAP and the BJP are running in the Delhi assembly election. It isn’t the INDIA alliance election. I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped and supported us. Mamata Banerjee is on our side. We have the backing of Akhilesh Yadav. The media has informed me that the party of (Uddhav) Thackeray ji is on our side,” Kejriwal told reporters here on Thursday.
The Congress, which is directly opposed to both the AAP and the BJP in Delhi, has retaliated against Kejriwal by claiming that the AAP has consistently sought to overthrow the Congress.
“No matter what Arvind Kejriwal says, the Delhi party that defamed the Congress is the Aam Aadmi Party. He didn’t speak a word against the BJP throughout 2012–2013, as far as I can recall. The AAP’s strategy is to defeat Congress in every election they have run. A regular person outside of Delhi would likewise tell you that the AAP runs for office in order to defeat the Congress. Why did you submit a letter to the RSS if you are so opposed to the BJP and RSS? Sandeep Dikshit, the Congress contender for the New Delhi seat, told the media report that the Congress has never issued such letters.
On February 5, the Delhi assembly elections will be conducted in a single phase, and on February 8, the results will be counted.
Nominations must be submitted by January 17. The nominations will be examined on January 18. However, January 20 is the deadline for withdrawing one’s candidacy.
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats. In contrast, the BJP only received eight seats in the 2020 assembly elections, while the AAP won 62 of 70 seats.
