Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the Atal Yuva Mahakumbh on Tuesday at the KD Singh stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, in honor of the late “Bharat Ratna” awardee’s 100th birthday.
Speaking to the crowd and media, the defense minister emphasized that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s influence went beyond India.
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s demeanor was well-known not just in India but also internationally. He had a straightforward approach and a humorous disposition. On several occasions, he demonstrated that…In my life, he has given me a lot of direction,” Singh said.
The defense minister said that Vajpayee had a humorous personality and had helped many politicians under his leadership.
“He was really humorous, and many politicians have benefited from his advice. He had said that while governments would change and political parties would emerge and disband, the nation’s democracy should endure forever.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, also conveyed his appreciation for the work done by the people’s representatives to take the Shatabdi Mahotsav to new heights in Lucknow and around the nation.
Yogi further emphasized that this occasion was a chance to consider the nation’s tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s memory.
“I express my gratitude to the leaders of the people for elevating the Shatabdi Mahotsav in Lucknow and around the nation.
The memories of holding Kumbh in accordance with Sanatan Dharma are being revived by this Yuva Kumbh. India’s identity lies in Kumbh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s memories have been revived by this Yuva Kumbh,” the UP chief minister said.
