Assam: Indian Army organises medical camp in Tinsukia district under Operation Sadbhavana

Tinsukia: As part of Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army set up a medical camp in the isolated villages of Kengia, Mulling, and Hanju Gaon in the Tinsukia district of Assam on Monday, according to a news statement.

A news statement said that the residents received full medical treatment from a team of three physicians, including one Army physician and two civil healthcare specialists. The camp provided essential healthcare services, including medical examinations, consultations, and medication delivery.

The physicians taught the residents the value of preventative health practices in addition to attending to their urgent medical needs. The camp improved the general health and well-being of the community by benefiting around 860 residents of all ages.

According to the press release, the occasion highlights the commitment of the Indian Army’s continuous efforts to assist and improve local communities, guaranteeing that medical treatment reaches even the most isolated locations.

The Indian Army’s Spear Corps General Officer Commanding (GOC) visited the National Cadet Corps’ (NCC) Special National Integration Camp in Wokha, Nagaland, earlier on December 17.

This special camp brought together NCC cadets from all across the nation to celebrate India’s various cultural fabric with the goal of encouraging young togetherness and national cohesion. The GOC engaged with thecadets throughout the tour and praised their dedication to national integration, discipline, and excitement.

In his remarks, the GOC highlighted the vital role that young people play in determining the course of the country and praised the NCC’s role in fostering in young people a sense of service, leadership, and morality.

The GOC also kicked off the Nagaland State Day festivities at the camp during the visit.
