ASP Shrish Chandra said, the construction work of police post near Jama Masjid in Sambhal is going on at a fast pace

The building of the police station near Jama Masjid in Sambhal is proceeding quickly and should be completed in a few days, according to Sambhal Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shrish Chandra on Monday.

“The construction of the post is currently underway,” ASP Chandra told ANI. It will be set up as quickly as feasible. for the comfort of the energy residing here.”

Due to the pressing demand for housing—many soldiers are now living outside in the cold—the post’s development is being accelerated. The job is being done quickly since there are no amenities close by. “In a few days, the post will be ready,” ASP Chandra said.

A police station is now being constructed on the empty lot next to Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. To provide security, the Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been stationed close to the building site.

Following recent unrest in the region last month during an Archaeological study of India (ASI) study of a mosque from the Mughal period, which resulted in four police and community members being killed and injured, this development follows the incident.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishnan Kumar Bishnoi said on December 27 that the purpose of the police positions is to improve surveillance, promote justice, and increase security.

“Police posts are being established in every major area of Sambhal, including near Khaggu Sarai, to enhance security, facilitate justice, and ensure better surveillance and response to crimes,” said SP Bishnoi.

In the meanwhile, Sambhal’s security is being improved with the installation of CCTV cameras.

Speaking to the media on December 27, District Magistrate Rajinder Pensiya said, “In order to increase security, smart meters and CCTV are being installed. Regular anti-encroachment campaigns are conducted, removing transitory encroachments and addressing permanent ones with homeowners’ participation and notice, according to Pensiya.

According to Sambhal Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Shrish Chandra, 50 persons were taken into custody on December 28 in relation to the violence that occurred on November 24 in the vicinity of the Jama Masjid area in Sambhal district.

The ASP told ANI that one of the people sought in the case has been taken into custody from Batla House in Delhi.
“Fifty persons have been taken into custody thus far in connection with the violence in Sambhal. A wanted individual called Adnan was apprehended from Batla House in Delhi and sent to prison after being recognized via CCTV. “The incident involved the individual and his companions,” he said.

According to the ASP, information on their perpetrators is being collected, and those who provided them with sanctuary will also face consequences.
