He stated, “If they work towards evolving solutions instead of ruminating on problems, accelerated development of the state and the society can be a reality,” while speaking to East Siang district authorities at a review meeting in Pasighat on Tuesday.

According to CM Khandu, government staff are the ones who really carry out the policies that are made by the council of ministers and MLAs. Thus, according to him, “the success of a particular government depends on the honesty, sincerity, and efficiency of government employees.”

“As politicians, we are transient. As government workers, you are here to stay. You will serve the public for almost 30 years, whereas we will come and depart in five years. Thus, you play a vital part in the development of the state and the well-being of its citizens,” he said.

Khandu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to empowering public servants, particularly those employed in district administration.

He said that it is impossible to overestimate the contribution that Deputy Commissioners would make to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Arunachal” by 2047.

“Deputy Commissioners, who serve as district-level top administrative officials, are the foundation of Arunachal Pradesh’s government and progress. In order to improve the delivery of last-mile citizen services, districts must be strengthened,” he said.

The chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh also said that the government is implementing bottom-up planning, which entails creating vision and development plans at the district level, with deputy commissioners playing a significant part in this process.

He said that all stakeholders would attend review sessions with the government-appointed mentor secretaries and guardian ministers in their designated districts, and they will report back to the government on their findings.

“Our objective will be to pinpoint the exact problems and needs of each district and identify the key areas to prioritize,” Khandu said.

In reference to the recent deputy commissioners’ meeting in Itanagar, Khandu listed the six conference topics and requested that authorities implement plans and initiatives based on these themes. The names of the themes are “Sundar, Samridh, Shikshit, and Swasth Arunachal.” Arunachal Surakshit and Arunachal Swachch.

Speaking about Pasighat, the state’s oldest town with a history spanning over a century, the chief minister gave his word that the government will not take any action to make the city one of the best in the state.
He urged everyone, regardless of party or other connections, to work together and be united.

“When it comes to the development of our state and the welfare of our people, we stand united as Team Arunachal,” he said.
