Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visits Strike One Corps and attends Capability Development Conference

General Upendra Dwivedi visited StrikeOne Corps on March 6, 2025, and attended the capacity development conference, according to a post on the Indian Army’s X Additional Directorate General of Public Information. Additionally, he examined the formation’s operational readiness for events along the Northern Borders.

Senior commanders from the three services were advised by COAS to embrace innovation and aggressively adjust to the evolving nature of contemporary warfare. Additionally, COAS saw a demonstration of equipment designed to use cutting-edge technology to tackle difficult security issues. General Upendra Dwivedi gave a keynote speech at the French Joint Staff College Course in France last week at Ecole De Guerre on India’s Strategic Overview and Regional Geo-Political Situation. He gave the audience, which consisted of 98 foreign officers from 68 countries, a thorough rundown of India’s strategic environment and the geopolitical dynamics in the area.

“General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, gave a keynote address on India’s Strategic Overview and Regional Geo-Political Situation at Ecole De Guerre, to the prestigious French Joint Staff College course,” the Additional Directorate General of Public Information stated in a post on X.

“He gave the audience, which consisted of 98 foreign officers from 68 nations, a thorough rundown of India’s strategic environment and regional geopolitical dynamics. The meeting focused on the changing security landscape, the importance of contemporary armies in confronting new threats, and the need for further international collaboration to guarantee collective security,” the statement said.

In addition, the Indian Army Chief honored the valiant Indian troops who gave their lives during World War I by laying a wreath at the Indian War Memorial in Neuve-Chapelle, France. General Dwivedi also paid a visit to the French Army’s 3rd Division at Fort Ganteaume during his tour, where he received an update on the division’s mission and preparations for India-France joint training, including Exercise SHAKTI, which is set to occur in France later this year.
