Amit Shah targeted Kejriwal and said that he built Sheesh Mahal with the money of Delhiites
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on Saturday, claiming that he must answer to the people of the nation’s capital for squandering Delhiites’ money to construct a Sheesh Mahal.
“A few kids stopped by my house to greet me. I questioned them on Arvind Kejriwal’s contributions to Delhi. He constructed a large Sheesh Mahal for himself, according to one of the kids. Arvind Kejriwal used to claim that he would not accept a government vehicle or bungalow when he first entered politics; now, he exploited the money of Delhiites to construct a Sheesh Mahal. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new working women’s hostel complex “Sushma Bhawan,” Shah remarked, “Kejriwal ji, you will have to give an account to the people of Delhi.”
“He used to declare that he would not accept a government vehicle or a government home when he first entered politics. On fifty thousand yards of land worth Rs. 45 crores, he constructed a glass house for himself today. “Kejriwal ji, you will have to answer to the people of Delhi,” he said.
The Home Minister also brought up the time spent by former Delhi Chief Minister and Lok Sabha LoP Sushma Swaraj.
“One of the party’s greatest leaders, Sushma ji, will never be forgotten. She is one of the leaders in India’s political history who served as a minister, holding significant ministries during the first and second NDAs, although she will be remembered more as the head of the opposition than as a minister. Sushma ji was the one who revealed the corruption of the Congress in the parliament. “I anticipate that all opposition leaders will examine her work and attempt to emulate her actions,” he said.
PM Modi laid the cornerstone for three projects at Delhi University (DU) on Friday: an academic block for a west campus in Dwarka, an academic block for an east campus in Surajmal Vihar, and the Veer Savarkar College in Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
PM Modi blasted former Delhi chief minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying that the AAP government has not even used half of the central government’s education budget and that those in power in the nation’s capital for the past ten years have harmed schooling.
