Amid the ongoing suspense over the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde was admitted to a hospital in Thane
Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was taken to a hospital in Thane on Tuesday amid the tension surrounding Maharashtra’s chief minister, according to reports today, as his health condition did not seem to be improving.
Physicians have recommended a thorough assessment of his health. Since last week, Shinde has had a fever and a throat infection.
When reporters asked Shinde how he was feeling, he said, “Badhiya hai [all good]”.
In order to recover from his ailment, the Shiv Sena leader traveled to his hometown in Satara district last Friday. He returned to Mumbai on December 1.
The Mahayuti government’s swearing-in event, which is set for December 5, is being prepared by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Eknath Shinde and senior BJP leader Girish Mahajan met Monday to talk about getting ready for the swearing-in event. Mahajan had assured reporters that the interim chief minister was making a full recovery.
Additionally, he emphasized that there are no disputes among the Mahayuti alliance’s leaders.
“Eknath Shinde, who hasn’t been feeling well for a few days, is the reason I came here. No resentment exists. We spoke for an hour while we were seated together. He also spoke about getting ready for December 5, and I also had some things to say. Following his meeting with Shinde, Girish Mahajan told reporters, “We have a lot of work to do for the people of the state, and we are going to work together for them.”
Shinde met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda in Delhi on Thursday night to discuss the ongoing impasse over the Chief Ministerial role. The meeting was attended by Devendra Fadnavis, who is generally regarded as the front-runner for the Chief Minister’s position, Ajit Pawar, and other Mahayuti leaders.
