Amid the ongoing investigation into the Jhansi Medical College fire, Kinjal Singh said, this was the main cause of the fire
Kinjal Singh, Director General of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh, who is in charge of the four-member inquiry committee overseeing the continuing probe into the Jhansi Medical College fire disaster that lost 12 lives, said that a short circuit was the main cause of the fire.
On Tuesday, the squad reenacted the incident scenario.
“We are going into more detail to investigate what happened in the three rooms where the fire started, including the intensive care unit and step-down, as well as the location of exit doors,” said Kinjal Singh. We are investigating whose business owned the installed extension boards and where they were bought.
She responded by saying that the principal will submit a report on the usage of copper and aluminum wire, which are forbidden.
“For the last four years, we have obtained the power audit report from this location. The principal will write a report on this as well since we have asked the institution what steps were done in response to this complaint. The audit report is two pages long. We want to know what the college has done about it. Today, we attempted to reproduce the situation. We will include any carelessness on the part of the college in the report,” she said.
