Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said this at the graduation parade of the Air Force Academy
Flight Cadets from several IAF branches completed their pre-commissioning training at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal, Hyderabad, with the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP). As the Reviewing Officer, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, oversaw the proceedings.
Air Chief Marshal Singh gave a speech to the graduating cadets, recognizing the years of commitment and effort that had been put into their training.
He emphasized that while the CGP represented the end of their first preparation, it was really just the start of a much longer journey. “Even if years of tenacity and organized training as a cadet or flying cadet have culminated in this.
In actuality, however, it is just the start. the start of fresh knowledge. He said, “The start of a life full of enriching experiences.”
He continued by stressing that the cadets’ careers will continuously test their ability to develop and advance.
You’ll be under continual pressure to broaden your horizons. Raise your boundaries. Learn new talents and skills. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining expensive airplanes and equipment that cost hundreds of millions of rupees.
The cadets were reminded by Air Chief Marshal Singh that their newfound responsibilities extended beyond technical matters and included the ongoing development of their duties as air warriors. Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasized the value of both mental and physical health, encouraging the cadets to take up hobbies, play sports, and read for pleasure.
He also emphasized the importance of keeping their pledge to serve the country honorably and devotedly.
“Your oath of allegiance to the Indian Constitution is a lifelong commitment,” Singh said. Throughout your profession, work with the highest integrity, commitment, and honesty.
“Now onwards, you live not for yourselves, but for others, the interests of your nation, the interests of the men and women placed below” said Air Chief Marshal Singh.
The Air Chief Marshal urged the recently commissioned officers to preserve the Indian Air Force’s traditions and principles as they begin this new chapter and wished them an interesting and rewarding career.
“On behalf of the entire Indian Air Force, I wish the newly commissioned officers an exciting and rewarding career. I implore all of us in blue to uphold the ethos, traditions, and honor of the Indian Air Force.” May God provide us everyone clear skies and joyful arrivals. “Jai Hind,” he murmured.
