AAP’s Priyanka Kakkar claims that the BJP’s only goal is to destroy and mistreat Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi: Priyanka Kakka, a spokeswoman for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the party’s only goal is to discredit and mistreat Arvind Kejriwal.

“BJP only knows how to do negative politics,” Kakkar said in an interview with ANI on Sunday. In Delhi, they lack a CM face. They don’t have any plans or a vision for Delhi, nor do they have 70 candidates here. Their only goal is to destroy and mistreat Arvind Kejriwal.

“We have been able to announce all 70 candidates because Arvind Kejriwal is always working for the issues of the people,” she said.

For the Delhi Assembly Elections in 2025, the AAP unveiled their fourth and final list of 38 candidates. The list states that Kejriwal would run from New Delhi, Gopal Rai from Babarpur, Saurabh Bharadwaj from Greater Kailash, and Chief Minister Atishi from Kalkaji.

Ramesh Pehalwan from Kasturba Nagar, Imran Hussain from Ballimaran, Som Dutt from Sadar Bazar, Raghuvinder Shokeen from Nangloi Jat, Durgesh Pathak from Rajinder Nagar, Jarnail Singh from Tilak Nagar, and Satyendra Kumar Jain from Shakur Basti have all been put up.

Two new names have been added to the list, and the other 36 candidates are incumbent MLAs who have been renominated. Ramesh Pehalwan from Kasturba Nagar and Pooja Naresh Balyan, the wife of Naresh Balyan, from Uttam Nagar are the candidates put forth by the AAP.

The Congress, which dominated Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not won a single seat in the previous two assembly elections. The BJP won eight seats in the 2020 Assembly elections, while the AAP won 62 out of 70.
