A total of 33 BRO personnel trapped in an avalanche near Mana village in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district were rescued
Chamoli: According to authorities on Saturday, 33 employees of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) who were stranded under an avalanche close to Mana village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand have been rescued.

Vinod Kumar Suman, the State Disaster Management Secretary, told ANI that 33 personnel had been saved. There were just 55 employees present since two of the 57 were on leave.
In the meantime, 22 employees of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) are being rescued.
From his home, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly assessing the ongoing rescue efforts.
Additionally, CM Dhami maintains constant communication with the authorities involved in the rescue efforts.
On Friday, the Uttarakhand government provided hotline numbers so that people could obtain information or support about the avalanche.
People are urged to call the hotline lines, which are run by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority’s state emergency operation center, according to the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) of the Uttarakhand government.

Speaking to Chief Minister Dhami, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reassured him that the safe evacuation of those stranded in the event was the government’s top concern.
“Discussed the glacier burst in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, with Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Dhami ji, DG ITBP, and DG NDRF. “Safe evacuation of the accident victims is our top priority,” he said.
