According to NDRF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) MK Sharma, who spoke to the media report, the organization is ready for the big event and wants to give the impression that organizations like the NDRF are equipped to handle any problem that may arise during their service.

Sharma said that the NDRF team is ready to handle any chemical, biological, or radiological nuclear disaster and is practicing a simulated exercise to overcome any obstacles that may arise during the event.

According to MK Sharma, “The NDRF is ready for Kumbh.” You must have seen how to handle the types of difficulties we can encounter. The same was shown here, including the rescuing of drowning victims. How can we keep the visiting devotees safe, and how can we rescue the persons on board if a boat capsizes? In light of that, all preparations are ongoing. Security services are on the lookout. We can handle any issue that arises in connection with a nuclear emergency that is chemical, biological, or radiological.

We are prepared to handle this task both during the day and at night thanks to our fully equipped train squad, which includes fast boats, expert swimmers, and specialized divers. Underwater torches are available to us. Our goal is to convince outside refugees and devotees that organizations like NDRF are prepared to handle any obstacle in your service,” he said.

A family of nine was saved from drowning in the Ganga River here earlier on Monday by the NDRF.

When Deputy Inspector General of the NDRF Manoj Kumar Sharma observed the family’s screams for assistance, he promptly ordered the crew to rescue them when their boat began to drift uncontrollably owing to severe sea waves.

Coincidentally, the NDRF DIG was examining the teams’ readiness for the Kumbh Mela 2025 near the river’s Arail Ghat. The NDRF claims that when a real catastrophe occurred, a water emergency exercise was already in progress.

The fact that all nine family members were saved demonstrates how well the police conducted the rescue.

Over 45 crore devotees are anticipated for the celebration of the Mahakumbh, which is being held after a 12-year hiatus. Devotees will assemble at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge, during the Mahakumbh to take a sacred bath that is said to atone for sins and bring about moksha (freedom).

On February 26, the once-every-12-year Mahakumbh will come to an end. On January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami), the Kumbh’s principal bathing ceremonies (Shahi Snan) will be held.
