“The situation is peaceful,” stated Shahaji Umap, Special Inspector General, Nanded. Some stores, CCTV cameras, and store hoardings were damaged by the individuals who had assembled here in the afternoon to make a representation to the District Magistrate.

Later, in order to maintain control, the police had to employ some force. We have roughly fifty persons in custody. Cases have begun to be registered against them. A case has been filed against the accused of this occurrence, and he has also been placed under custody. He is a madman who is presently receiving therapy since the mob battered him; his mental health is not the best. The documents were also discovered throughout the investigation. Therefore, I urge everyone to keep the peace and not give this tragedy much thought,” he continued.

Priyanka Chaturvedi, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), made fun of the BJP-led Mahayuti government on Wednesday for the violence in Parbhani, Maharashtra, and claimed that the government’s top goal is to hold onto power.

According to her, the state lacks a full-time home minister in charge of maintaining peace and order.

“The violence that is occurring is regrettable, and the incident is quite shameful. We live at a time when the government is disregarding the Constitution. As of right now, the state has no home minister in charge of maintaining peace and order,” MP Priyanka Chaturvedi told the media.

“The violence shows the failure of this government…. It shows the government’s priorities, which is to save their rule and not work for the people of the state,” she said.

Raghunath Khandu Gawade, the district magistrate of Parbhani, asked everyone to keep the peace.

“The police leadership is traveling. We have called in more police, and we have the situation under control. I thus implore everyone to preserve peace and quiet on this via you,” he stated.
