A minor girl was found involved in illegal trafficking activities in Bhubaneswar, police officials said
Odisha: According to police authorities on Saturday, a young girl was discovered engaging in illicit trafficking operations in Bhubaneswar. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Pinak Mishra, the Cuttack Urban Police District (UPD) was notified of the situation and is keeping a careful eye on it.
“A trafficking incidence was reported to Cuttack UPD yesterday. Although Cuttack UPD police have taken notice of the situation and are looking into it, Commissioner Sir has given us advice and directives stating that such actions must be stopped and that close supervision must be maintained. Police officers from the Bhuvaneshwar UPD are aware of it,” Mishra said.
“We have made all of our police stations, our SHOs (Station House Officers), and our ACPs (Assistant Commissioner of Police) aware of these activities,” he said. We shall take legal action if such a situation is brought to our attention. In addition, we are gathering data on these kinds of activities.
Mishra promised that proper legal action would be taken and that any “nefarious activities” would be handled seriously.
“We will take legal action if we learn of such criminal acts wherever. I am unable to comment on that since it concerns Cuttack UPD; nevertheless, Cuttack Bhuvaneshwar UPD is also aware of the issue that has been brought to the attention of the Commissioner of Police, and we are ready to address it as well as gather information. We will undoubtedly take legal action if such a situation is brought to our attention or if it is reported to us,” he said.
Given the delicate nature of the situation, detectives are currently collecting information. More information is anticipated as the inquiry continues. Authorities are dedicated to keeping an eye on people engaged in unlawful activity and enforcing strict penalties against them.
