A man from Kashmir PoK who illegally entered Indian territory was arrested in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir

Poonch: According to officials on Thursday, a guy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was arrested after he unlawfully crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Indian territory in the Poonch region of Jammu and Kashmir.

Saliiq, the son of Khalid, a PoK national who lived in Bandi Abbaspur, purposefully entered Indian territory. The PoK national was caught as he was breaking into Indian territory by alert Indian Army troops stationed on the Line of Control in the Gulpur area, according to the Poonch Police.

Additional research is being conducted, and additional information is anticipated.

A cache of weapons and ammunition was discovered earlier on Wednesday in the Lapri neighborhood of Mahore, Reasi district, by security officers conducting a joint operation.

One AK-47 rifle, three AK-47 magazines, two pistols (along with magazines), 511 AK-47 rounds, 14 pistol rounds, four hand grenades, and a backpack were among the numerous weapons and ammunition found in a hideout that was the result of a search operation based on reliable intelligence, the police statement continued.

Further investigations are being conducted to determine the origins of the recovered weapons and to find any connections to terrorist activity, while the confiscated materials have been safeguarded.

The security forces are on guard and encourage the public to notify the authorities of any suspicious activities.
