According to a local, the city’s pollution was becoming worse and something needed to be done about it.

“The city’s pollution is getting worse,” the citizen remarked in an interview with the media. Every day, new motorcycles and vehicles are produced, which makes matters worse. In order to assist the next generation, we must act promptly.

Another resident, Sanjay Kathuria, said that the pollution was increasing daily and that people needed to take action to address the problem.

“Every day, the pollution problem becomes worse. It occurs across the nation, not only in Mumbai. After Diwali, things will only get worse, and even going for a morning stroll is becoming harder these days. To avoid the scenario, we citizens should take the appropriate action,” Kathuria stated.

The city’s worst air pollution reading, with an AQI of 202, or “poor,” was recorded on October 27.

The CPCB states that most persons may experience respiratory discomfort after extended exposure to the ‘bad’ AQI range, which includes 201-300.

There were a number of additional city monitoring stations that showed AQI values in the’moderate’ range on Sunday.

People with heart, lung, or asthma disorders may have difficulty breathing when their AQI falls between 101 and 200, which is considered “moderate.”

Concern about the increasing dust and pollution levels in the region was voiced by a visitor to Marine Drive.”The continuous building here is the cause of this pollution; things weren’t this bad previously. Health problems are being caused by it. The tourist told the journalists, “I come here every day because it feels refreshing, but now the dust and pollution have increased.”

There were also AQI readings in the’moderate’ range in places including Byculla, Chembur, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Deonar, Ghatkopar, and Kandivali West.

AQI readings in the’satisfactory’ range were recorded by observatories in Colaba, Kandivali East, Mulund West, and Powai. Sensitive people only experience mild respiratory discomfort when their AQI is between 51 and 100.
