A huge crowd of tourists has started gathering in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh before the new year

Varanasi: Ahead of the New Year, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh has begun to draw a sizable number of visitors. Gaurav Banswal, DCP Kashi Zone, Varanasi, said that police patrols and road diversions for traffic control were among the steps taken to guarantee a peaceful celebration.

“The area is often patrolled by NDRF and Jal police. Five days before New Year’s, there was a surge in foot traffic. In order to control high traffic, road diversions have been established. Sectors have been created from areas with high foot traffic. The DCP Kashi Zone, Varanasi, said that the police patrol and use CCTV to keep an eye on these locations on a daily basis.

Praying on the occasion of the New Year is seen as auspicious. Of all the sacred sites, Kashi is regarded as the most important. Varanasi has grown in importance from a tourist perspective in recent years. This place is packed on New Year’s Day. According to a local, devotees visit Ganga Ghat for Kashi Vishwanath darshan after taking a bath.

At the same time, massive people are flocking to Mathura, another city, to see holy temples including Dwarkadhish, Banke Bihari, and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. As religious gatherings grow, Mathura Police, under the direction of SSP Shailesh Pandey, have put strong security measures in place, such as drones, more cameras, and well-planned parking, to guarantee the worshipers a smooth and secure experience.

According to SSP Shailesh Pandey, the new year is almost here, and in this circumstance, Kanha devotees from throughout the nation and outside begin the year by meditating on the Lord and his feet. Banke Bihari Temple, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple, Barsana Nandgaon, and Gokul in Vrindavan are visited by thousands of devotees. To celebrate the new year, many devotees have already arrived at Vrindavan Dham.

He went on to say that the Mathura Police have a thorough strategy in place to ensure the safety and comfort of the thousands of devotees who would be visiting Braj in the next year. He provided information in this respect, stating that several troops had been stationed in the vicinity of the main temples.
